Hi Everybody, I was just comparing kilts and prices since I might be going over to Edinburgh in January. Geoffrey (Tailor) offers Gents Casual Kilts for £250 - I work part-time as a volunteer in a charity shop in Torremolinos. At first I got a fair number of comments about my skirts, but now no-one blinks an eyelid any more. I do just two days and helpout when other staff are absent.
It is pleasant and interesting as we have plenty of regulars that come in several times...

Kilt Pleats

Hi Everybody, i've a wee question.
Some kilts have pleats that all point in the same direction, lets say clockwise all the way around and others have pleats in both directions that then meet in the middle (at the back of course :-). Anybody know anything about this? Thanks in advance.

While always better shared with friends, I am often found with a dram in the wee hours alone. IMHO celtic music and whisky go well together, one of my choices is the music of Loreena McKennitt (a mate of Robert Pel's).

Poppy Kilt Pin

I do not wear a jacket much these days now that I have retired, so I was wondering how I might wear a poppy, now that remembrance day is looming. I purchased a poppy brooch from the Royal British Legion, and it arrived today, the day after I ordered it ( despite the postal strike !). I have placed on my kilt just above my usual kilt pin, whch I have left in place. I have secured the brooch with a couple of stitches, to stop it coming adrft. I attach a photo.

Some colleagues and I are planning a trip to Scotland next spring. We arrive at Prestwik airport Thursday evening and back home on Sunday. We would like to visit Ferintosh Dumfries, visit some distilleries, for example Laphroaig, maybe some old castles and many pubs.
Are there any of you who have tips and suggestions on how to squeeze this in on the day we have available?

Leather Kilt on the Rezlands this Weekend

Was out on the Navajo reservation and the Hopi reservation this weekend. I visited Coal Mine Canyon on the Hopi reservation yesterday. Its not publicized much. The only way to reach it is on long dirt rez roads...but it is majestic. The canyon is totally undeveloped. Its even unmarked from the closest paved road. This pic is just a small part of it. Couldn't tell if the edge was undercut or not but most of the cliff edges around there were so just took a quick venture to the edge to...
