Hi everyone,

I've been lurking in these regions for a while, but decided it's time to break cover.

I'm Jim and have been wearing kilts regularly for about four years after a break of about forty years or so. I spent my early youth in the Highlands of Scotland, not far from Kenmore on Loch Tay before my family moved to the southwest of England. So I was very familiar with kilts as a young kid and inhabited one more or less continuously until we moved.

I was told by some friends on BotK that many former associates and friends from XMTS are on here.

I was known as "MacWage" on XMTS in times past, but don't post there much after some run-ins with their mod staff.

I am a mod on Brotherhood of the Kilt now . . .

I now have a half dozen 16 oz box pleat kilts made by me and material for another dozen.
I have just finished (tonight) fixing a Wilson tartan, Lochcarron Ancient hues,...

Many of you know me...I'm KT, founder of the Brotherhood of the Kilt. I've been wearing kilts for four years, and have celtic roots going back to 400AD. I've created and registered my own tartan, and have somethiing like 12 kilts of all types.

I wear them as often as is humanly possible. and love single malt. Caol Ila especially.

Hello everyone. I joined up a couple of months ago but this is the first time I've posted. I'm 47, live in Edinburgh and own two, good quality Macnab kilts which I'd like to wear more often. If there are any plans to meet up for walks/social gatherings etc in Embra area, I'd definitely be interested in joining in. I'll try to post some pics. Cheers

Hello, there,
after lurking around here for some time, I think, I should introduce myself now.
My name is Thomas, I´m from Solingen/Germany. Some of you might know me from the xmarkers.
For I´m relatively new to kilt wearing ( about 2 years), I have only two kilts up to now- a cheap PV black watch modern and a 5yarder Lochcarron Strome in black watch ancient (Grant, Munro,.......).
I hope, I´ll be able to post some pics soon.

Hi, I am a kilt wearer from the hills of East Tennessee! I only have two kilts, both in MacDonald tartans, and wear them at any chance I get (I am a piper, so that helps), though admittedly, that is not daily.

about one hour ago, my kilt finally arrived, complete with sporran, belt, kiltpin and socks, now I only have to figure oute how to attache the buckle to the belt and how the sporran works :P, so if anyone can help me, I will be very pleased , foto's will be uploaded soon

I just kind of wandered in, and I see a few familiar names here.

About me:
Obviously, I'm into kilts... I prefer feile mor/belted plaids or phillabegs over modern kilts.
Aside from kilts, I enjoy motorcycles, skydiving, RennFaires, Celtic Fests, playing music, movies, and general mayhem.
I'm of Scottish (Stewart) and Irish (O'Connell/Connelly) lineage, and am married to a very supportive Polish...

I'm new here. I wore my first kilt in 1995 for an Eve Party. Hired in Paris in shop for the theater and cinema. My kilt was a real one made in Glasgow in 1956. I was amazed by the year. The first feeling was strange but also great. Fot this event I had the PC jacket and all the stuff.
recently I decided to have mine. I chose a Brittany tartan (Bro Kerne) because I'm Breton by my mother. So the kilt is a taylor made (8 yards in 13 oz) and if the pattern...
