Some kilts have pleats that all point in the same direction, lets say clockwise all the way around and others have pleats in both directions that then meet in
the middle (at the back of course :-). Anybody know anything about this? Thanks in advance.

a poppy brooch from the Royal British Legion, and it arrived today, the day after I ordered it ( despite the postal strike !). I have placed on my kilt just
above my usual kilt pin, whch I have left in place. I have secured the brooch with a couple of stitches, to stop it coming adrft. I attach a photo.

I'm no tailor, so a personal modification just isn't going to work, but I'd like to find a good quality jacket and waistcoat for day-wear. Can
anyone recommend a good 'off-the-shelf' (I guess) that is smart but won't require a remortgage?

There are some imported PCs that come in at just under £100 - I just wish they'd do day wear too.

Any ideas please?
