I spent Friday evening and Saturday afternoon at the Oslo Whisky Festival. There were several master classes with visiting whisky luminaries, among them Rachel
Barrie of Glenmorangie and Dr. Koichi Inatomi, formerly of Suntory, Micheal Heads of Ardbeg, and Vicky Stevens of Laphroaig. The Norwegian Nosing Championship
took place on Saturday, where the contestants had to identify 6 different whiskies in 40 minutes. A great time was had by all, including Yours Truly. Kudos to
the festival...

I've been keen for a long time to have my own district kilt, and this being based on one of the oldest tartan samples excavated was perfect!!
