Careful Rod. You're on the slippery slope. I started with a PV kilt, an ebay sporran and a couple of pairs of socks...

For sporran guidance.

Traditionalists would advise...

Formal (Dress) - Furry / metal cantle.

Lots of different kinds, here is but one. Seal skin is good (but has ethical and legal issues), rabbit is good, as is cow, faux-fur, whatever... If you like it, buy it, wear it.

There's that slippery slope again. You don't need a dozen sporrans... or Kilts for that matter.

Informal (Day wear). All leather / flap not cantle, usually.

There is also semi-dress

Frowned on by some as neither "fish nor foul" or exalted by others as "Best of both worlds"

Non traditionalists would advise to wear whatever you like, whenever you like... Now't wrong with a top hat and converse...

Choice is yours.

Here's another one of mine... It's a tweaked Military pattern. I've had it for a few years but never worn it out yet. I've not found a suitable occasion... but I'm sure I will.

You may also have noticed I prefer belts (straps) rather than chains to attach them to me. Personal preference in my case although some would have it chains damage your kilt. I have no experience of that, but then I always wear belts.

Best Regards
