G'day Pat.Thanks for your comments...You  are right....I pretty much agree.  Sometimes ,though especially in the case of the other forum topic of the unforgiving friend which propted this one, bigotry, vilification and derogatory comments are all that's needed to stop people trying something different , at least initially and some never (not just kilts either) end up trying it at all which is sad. My progress wearing kilts is slow , but I love every minute of them  and care less and less what others think .nowadays and one reason why I joined this great group..and I do have scottish and irish heritage...My question why I put up this topic was that if kilts were easier to access and marketed , then the stigma of  "wearing a skirt" by those who just don't get it that kilts are really mens clothing anyway...not originally for women...might be less so perhaps and making it just a little better for those taking their first steps to kilthood. What really irritates me is that some are asked "Are you gay. or something."...just because you choose to wear a kilt. I have absolutely nothing against gay people but to some idiots it's automatically associated which is so wrong....I don't know if many gay people wear kilts but they also wear pants and shorts too don't they ?...but clothing choice shouldn't pre decide your sexuality..to un informed persons..Appreciate your comments very much.. Cheers  Tasmac (Rod).
