G'day all.....I NEED HELP.....I wasn't going to buy another kilt until next spring but I found an almost new 8 yarder on local EBAY a few days ago so I put a low bid in for it. to my shock I won it with one bid. It's a Stewart traditional(cost $22) It arrived on Wednesday.. It fits around the waist perfectly but it is actually a bit too long for me to be entirely happy with it so I want to shorten it to just to top of my knee. Do I stitch the new hem ?...On many kilts I've noticed a slightly irregular unstitched edge on the hem..others are neat as a pin and with a stitched upturned hem..As the kilt is otherwise pristine I don't want to have the weave fray too much etc....so any advice would be great...The last one was done for me by the seller for me....This one I'll need to do myself.. Cheers Tasmac...
